Signed Olive Barfoot bird figurine
I have had this bird figurine that is signed Olive Barfoot with a Canadian Guild of Potters label. The guild was active from 1936 to 1978. I suspect it is a different Olive Barfoot unless she had spent time in Canada.

Olive Barfoot, Canada
I'm sure this is a different person. From what I can work out, the Canadian Olive Barfoot was married to Joseph W. Barfoot, also a potter (though presumably part time - he worked in insurance and kept bees too). Both Olive and Joseph Barfoot showed in an exhibition organised by the Canadian Guild of Potters at the Royal Ontario Museum in 1961.

Agreed. I've split it from the Barfoot/Wells Pottery thread.
