tall bud vase PAVU or PAVLI

Hi I have a tall black and white bud vase with a handwritten name either PAVU or possibly PAVLI. I have tried typing allsorts of permutions in google with no luck and wondered if anyone here recognised the potter/artist? many thanks

Looks like raku. I also tried various combinations but nothing came up. Might be from a student exhibition

Maybe try one of the pottery classes like West Street Potters in Farnham in case it's an ex-student

I've found a couple of mentions of a potter called Peter Pavli working in Aberystwyth: in a group show at the Arts Centre there in 1995, and a piece on a gallery's facebook page (2012)

But I can find many more mentions of him as a musician and book dealer, presuming it's the same person.

Thanks for your help. I thought maybe it was a student because of the name scrawled into the base but the vase is so good I found that hard to believe. Probs the musician chap then but must have moved on from pottery which is a gret shame .. Thanks again :)
