Etching? with signature Empty Etching? with signature

Can anyone help with this etching I have please.
The image is 15cm x 5cm and has a signature which I cannot read. Does anyone know what it says?

Looks like an Eastern European peasant, so the signature might be Continental too but I'm afraid I can't read it.

Thanks Naomi, I agree it does look Eastern European. I'm going nowhere with figuring out the signature...might have to wait until a similar etching pops up.
