The booklet was originally published in 1961 but this edition was printing in 1965 so clearly a great influence on the decade.

Now that is funny! What it does illustrate is just how much language changes Though. Remember, Homosexuality was still a criminal offence until the law as changed in 1968. Even then, it took several decades for many attitudes to fundamentally change.

during the summer of 1970 I worked in London Zoo supply departement , these were redundant peanut packets as you were no longer allowed to feed the animals .  I kept them to use in an artistic project but never did . Maybe I'll try them on ebay for a laugh
