Pair of lidded trinket? boxes one marked - Help with ID please

Dear All,

Ok, I think this will be my last request for ID (today at least)   .  Can anybody help me ID these gorgeous little trinket? boxes - a matching pair one a little bigger than the other.  Although not obvious from my photo's these have lots of lovely gold sparkly bits. One is marked on the base so hopefully someone will know what it is.  And as always, love to know about whether these are good quality pieces, how old they might be etc.  My guess on these, is 1920s/30s?

Probably these were part of a dressing table set on a tray.
Probably Edwardian, maybe Czech/German porcelain.

That's great, thanks - I've just searched for Edwardian vanity set in google and can see what you mean - a number of similar things come up. If anybody has thoughts on the markings, would love to hear more.

They will be the decorators marks.

I know the pic's aren't the best, but do you or does anyone know how you might describe the gold speckled design around the lid/rim? Though I've seen a lot of gilded pieces, I'm struggling to locate anything with that sort of gold speckled gilding on it.

I think it's Spattered gilding.
