It was made at the Powermills Pottery in the middle of Dartmoor where Nic worked from 1988 until 2000. He had others working there with him and the pottery has continued after he moved. I don't know if they used this mark after Nic left.

There's a Rebecca Anne Richardson with a similar mark.

I'm split this thread until it's been positively IDed

This is thrown and looks wood-fired whereas I believe R. A. Richardson's work is hand-built and, as she works (worked) in the suburbs of middle class Litchfield, I suspect wood-firing would be frowned upon.

Joss Hibbs runs the pottery today and you might be able to contact her via the Powdermills Pottery website to see if she uses this old mark originated by Nic. If not, then it was made when Nic was in charge. However as it doesn't have a personal mark, I don't think it is really possible to positively attribute it to an individual potter.

Thanks, SP -- I will try to get in touch.
I'm seriously thinking of popping into the studio when I visit the UK in 2017.
