Rosa N.D.Quy / Rosa Nguyen-Duc-Quy Slipware

I bought a Slipware plate by Rosa ND Quy off eBay this morning , for no other reason than I was reading an old Ceramic Review from 1987 last night , one of the pages featured Rosa N.D.Quy , had a look on ebay and there it was for sale , so as a curio I bid , anyway I don't know anything about her at all , anybody got any info , I'll post a pic from the mag .

I saw the plate and thought it looked interesting and the name rang a faint bell but unlike you hadn't been browsing through old copies of Ceramic Review. I suspect that might be most of the information out there but it would be worth keeping an eye open for more pieces I think.

She's listed in BSPM as Rosa Nguyen-Duc-Quy, so I think she might be the same person as Rosa Nguyen:

Yes SP I think they might be a bit thin on the ground though , Ihave never heard of her at all or the locus gallery London .

Also listed as "Rosa N-D Quy (b 1960) Student 1983-86" in Christoper Frayling's "Art and Design: 100 Years at the Royal College of Art", which ties in with her LinkedIn profile.

I've never heard of the gallery but there have been many short-lived ones in Hampstead over the years.
