Thank you very much for that tip. I've just done a quick Google search and have found that mark attributed to him (in French) so it looks very promising, though all the text I can find on him is rather confusing... seems like quite a character!

The mark isn't his current mark, shown below, but the glaze, body and shape are all typical of his work. He has been active since 1975 so it could be an earlier mark. If not by him, certainly by someone influenced by him or an ex-student.

Thank you very much for that. There seems to have been some uncertainty over the attribution of the mark seen on my piece to him, but it's hard for me to be certain what's been said on some forums about it as it's all written French and, other than 'Google translate' my own grasp of French is petite pois:)
