Two small vases
Hi
A friend has asked me to identify these two rather inconsequential little vases. Not sure why she thinks I would know the answer, but I do have you folks on here to help.
Both by the same hand . Clay looks the same although bases are different. I think I may have seen similar decoration.
c 8cm high. No marks
Apologies for images, they were sent to me via mobile
TIA

Re: Two small vases
Tbh, my first thought is Korean or Mexican. But Might be Church Square Ceramics, Scotland, or Glenshee Pottery?

Yes both, but where do we start? those brown rings are quite distinctive.
Colin Kellam springs to mind.

Kellam was an initial thought. Also Andrew Hague?

Excuse the blue tint, but this is Church Square Ceramics, Edinburgh

Re: Two small vases
A possibility Naomi. I found a jug by them with similar decoration but on a brown ground and a darker clay

Re: Two small vases
I have had a few Colin Kellam items over the last year and the decoration is very similar. But the Church Square Ceramics appears to be a closer match in painting style. If anyone has a picture of the clay used by Church Square it could confirm that's the origin?

Oldrich Asenbryl is another possibility.
