Lawrence Keen dish with sgraffito decoration. Potted in the 60s-70s in Middlesex and Hampshire

This info from someone who knew him:

[Joseph Lawrence Keen, who went by the name] Lawrence, was a bank note engraver. The very best doing only the most detailed parts. He worked in Stanmore Middx and was a very accomplished potter in a studio in the substantial basement of his large victorian house. He was a founder member of the craftsmans potter association, friend of Mick Casson, David Eeles and many others. He was a very interestimg man but it would have been very difficult to replace his income. His major hobby seemed to be having interesting new houses built.
