The first photo is too dark to see the cat clearly, but it might be 50's German, Zell Schmider, designed by Anneliese Beckh but I'd expect a pattern number on the base. More likely it's a Japanese copy

hi thanks for the information
the cat is matt and there's a number on the rim of the base 622
also there's been some kind of writing on the base but i cant make it our at all. its more of a stamp than an impression

The numbers make it much more likely to be by Zell Schmider

there are lots of collectors for their cats and I haven't seen that one before so well worth getting out a magnifying glass Garry
