Did you actually pay for this or did they pay you to take it away? Anyway, I'd refer to that well known publication 'Marks of the Arctic Circle Studio Potters', available at no good book shops. Anywhere.

Some potters do cheap 'cookie cutter' decorations for Christmas and Easter. This looks like one of those. I don't recognised the mark

There is something about it, Almost a Raku glaze, not obvious in the Pix.
£2 on the boot, who cares?
Could well be North American, given the subject.

Almost like something John Clappison could have made.
