According to his bio., in 2004 David had been potting for 30 years before moving to painting. In 2012 he closed the John O'Groats Pottery and Gallery and moved to Inverness to paint full time

Impressed mark is hard to read.
Interlinking triangles ? DB? W ?
Mug a bit like Lea Phillips work

David and Sally Body’s Scarfskerry Pottery, Caithness. With a Craftmade, Crafts Council label. Established in 1977 before they moved to John O’Groats in 1987
