I'm having trouble finding this mark, has anyone in the forum seen it before? Taken photos both ways up...MJ?

Not one I've come across before. The variation in height suggests a hobby potter

I suspect they are from the 1970s when goblets were trendy and everyone who could was making them. They could be a hobby potter but I think the potter was making these to sell.

I doubt they are a hobby potter to be honest, but also doubt the potter is well known.

This is the mark for Michael (Mick) Dobson. He had a small pottery studio in Ripley Derbyshire around late 80's early 90's. Now retired.
A very friendly but very private man who I know personally. His mark is incised as a small md but could easily be mistaken for pw.

I decided to post this as he is not in the book, and I doubt you will find anything about him on an internet search.
