Salt Glazed Jug, French or German?
I've just bought this handthrown salt glazed stoneware jug, which I assume is German. Linear decoration in dark blue on the front with a simple motif on either side. Unmarked except for 1/2 (probably for half litre) incised low down, near the base of the handle. Underside showing the "thumbprint" effect.
