small terracotta torquay type mug unreadable stamp and 50:50 mark
Hi - I picked up this small (approx 3") mug, it looks new to me. I wondered if anyone had any ideas about the pottery/artist? the impressed stamp really is unreadable due to the glaze - even with blue tac. The mark reads 50:50 with an + or could be the female symbol (venus).
The scene shows a king and queen sitting outside drinking/toasting with a pram in the middle showing a babys hand holding a goblet.
Many thanks

I've seen this pattern before. It was either unidentified or by Mary Wondrausch

Can you get a close up photo of the mark in focus?

Cheers. It looks like a bird.

Well it has the red clay that most people associate with the south of England (Devon/Dorset/Cornwall). The closest I have come to it is some of the Allervale items but it's not them, not old enough I would guess. The Torquay society are very active though and worth dropping them a message if you get no luck. They may be able to point you in the right direction.

I emailed the society and they have said that they have no idea who its by but its not Torquay. Hmm
