Well this is a bit different - this has been hanging around the local charity shop for quite a while and every time I go in I try to decipher the mark - I thought I better buy it as one of the volunteers was eyeing it up. I guess its fish type top but the back stamp is obliterated! I had a Quantock baker type pot a while a go but that felt more heavy than this oddity - P.S. I have no idea if the stamp is the right way up

I have seen a very similar clay and mark before on a bit of Watcombe. But not sure the lettering fits any version of "made in England Watcombe" though. The design is also very strange but appropriate for an item possibly made along the Jurassic coast. Worth a flick through the Torguay societies pictures of back stamps to see if it matches any company from the area.

Cool, I will see what i can find, I reckon on the Jurassic theme it could be a trilobite

Reminds me of Haida pottery. I think the mark may be upside down
Or Portuguese kitchenware
