I thought it was Highland Stoneware or an Isle of Lewis pottery, but it was recently IDed by an Australian collector:

A Melbourne Victoria potter named Jan Lewis from Tableware Ceramics. Note the gum leaf and gum nut decoration - very Aussie! This pot would be prob circa mid 1980s. We have a gallery and tearoom on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne and used to sell heaps of her work. Actually use her plates in our TeaRooms
