1940's french?
Can anyone help me with these French (?) cartoons. Most likely by some nobody but thought Id ask on the off chance someone could provide me with some information.

thanks, yes thats what iv always thought as well. unfortunately google doesn't seem helpful on this as helen is such a common name.
does anyone know if theres a name for this style of art? Theres 6 pictures in total, that are a narrative of a woman getting ready to go out. Most have a cheeky/rude element to them e.g in one she is she is bent over dressing herself, unwittingly exposing herself to an open window behind.
Again any input is highly appreciated.

Exactly the same cartoon here; one of four (not 6) and a bit waterstained, in an Australian auction. Described as "Risque cartoon watercolours 1940, comprising lady dressing at four diffferent times of the day. Framed glazed and signed 'Belen'. 24 x 39 cm".
