Unknown But Interesting 20th Century Plate - Any clues?
Hello Everyone. I am new here. I have a bit of a thing for mid century household items having grown up with the influence of an Aunt who was/is trendy and worked at Heals in Tottenham Court Road back in the early 1970s.
I recently bought this plate on a whim, i think it is really interesting but haven't a clue as to where he may have originated from.
His painted style looks unique and i was hoping that his style may stand out and that someone may have an idea.
The plate is 23.5 Cm in diameter and has no makers marks.
Thank you - Michael

It looks like the body is tin-glazed earthenware/faience.

Thank you. This is all information i would have not have known. I think the look of contentment from the figures eyes is amazing, i did wonder if he had a slightly oriental look but that was when i was desperate for clues! Cheers.
