Anthony Theakston makes salt-glazed bird sculpture and stylised functional pieces in the shape of birds.

Below is a stylised jug...........

For identification he makes things easy, if you can read his writing, as he signs with a full signature.

I think it might not be that recent, as his current work looks more bird-like. Personally, I prefer this.

It had been sitting on my website for months with no interest and, as soon as got around to auctioning it on Ebay, I got someone asking if I would take to off there and sell it to them for more than I had been asking for it. I declined, as I never do that, but did point out the fact that it had been kind of "buy it now" for ages on my site. It subsequently sold for almost twice what I had been asking.

Madness really.

I had seen it and was a bit interested! Cheeky

But currently saving to get some work done and I do prefer the more bird-like pieces, though I did think the price was attractive! (His work seems to have doubled in value on the secondary market over the past few years!)
