These vases have interesting marks - anyone have any thoughts on what they are. Many thanks.

Japanese. Judging by the earthenware body it might be Kyoto ware or Satsuma

I thought maybe Satsuma too… the decoration maybe Moriage - not sure of their age.

Might be 20s-30s, but also possibly modern from Hong Kong and copies of Japanese pieces, like the Imari-style cats which look old but are made for the decorator's market. They are copying this design from the 19thC -

The impressed mark looks to have just two characters - I thought that they had three.
