Large Square Fruit Tray Signed "Musi Cal" California Pottery? Empty Large Square Fruit Tray Signed "Musi Cal" California Pottery?

I have this very large 17" square pottery tray which is signed: "Musi Cal" on back.
My obvious guess is that it is a by a California maker and it has a vaguely familiar look to it (the design and the signature).
