The painted mark isn't going to be of any help at it will be a quality control mark to identify the decorator. I see England but it doesn't look as if there is any other mark on the underside under the blue glaze. Am I correct?

Thanks for replying. Yes you are correct- it days only on the bottom England.
On the lid it says Clarke Patent.

These pewter lids were bought in, and many potteries used them,
during the late 19th/early 20th Century.
i don't know why, but Minton could be possible.
