Porcelain 'Sky' bowl  21 cms diameter. 13 cms high.
Peter Lane (1932) Educator, Author, ceramicist has mainly worked in porcelain for many years.Carved,incised, pierced,or decorated with coloured stains or Oxides. The 'Sky' and Landscape bowls in particular, can be very beautiful.

I just bought Peter's 'studio ceramics' book which was first published in 1983
I was inspired by it in 1988 an dedicated 6 months of that year to learning the craft of ceramic sculpture.
It is still a very good read

There is a revised version published circa 2002/3. As a guide to Studio Pottery work in porcelain,they are unbeatable. And the illustrations are superb.
