19thC Staffordshire Cup & Saucer
I'm sorry but I think I posted this in the wrong place earlier. Is this Japanese or Chinese. How do I learn to tell the difference? This has 1950 in gold on the base of some pieces. Is this the date or a pattern number? If not the date, what age is it please? I'm assuming this is made for export market? Thank you.

I think it's English Staffordshire china, Late 19th early 20thC.

it would be unusual for china ware from the Far East to have a pattern number written on the base.
