Trivetta Ware. William Oram Trivett.
"Trivetta" art pottery by William Oram Trivett, artist and potter. 1872-1955.
He worked at many potteries in the South Derbyshire / NW Leicestershire
area including : Bretby, Langley Mill, Hillstonia, Bretby brick and tile, Coleorton.
He was art manager at Bretby and was briefly at Langley Mill (late 1890s).
These wares are always rather heavily potted, Incised or impressed "Trivetta"
with a shape number. The lamp base has a paper label.

Recent impulse buy, signed Trivetta Pottery, William Oram Trivett
I got this nice pot today. I was attracted by its colour and squiggly design and knew the perfect place in my house it could live.
I have no idea if it's modern or vintage and even though there is marks to bottom I am coming up with no knowledge of the maker or anything. Does anyone recognise? I hate to be defeated!
any wise knowledge gratefully received!
Thank you!

Re: Trivetta Ware. William Oram Trivett.
I'm reading Trivetta. Found this
English Art Pottery vase by W.O. Trivett of Trivetta Pottery, with attractive green glaze. Height 8 1/4"; diameter 7 1/2". Solid and rather heavy. In excellent condition. Inscription to underside of base: TRIVETTA No 100 William Oram Trivett was born in 1872 in Nottingham, and died in 1955 in Midway, Derbyshire. He was Art Manager at Bretby Art Pottery in south Derbyshire, and produced a range of distinctive glazed wares in Arts & Crafts style, marked as Trivetta .
