Pair of Original Gouache Paintings, Signed But Not Sure of The name.

I have two wonderful original gouache paintings that I picked up at a yard sale back in Seattle in 1990 and I am trying to find out any information about them that I can. They both measure 14" wide X 21" high. The first is titled EL ESPIA (The Spy) and is dated 1936 and the second is titled ORDEN CUMPLIDA (Order Fulfilled) and dated 1937. They are both signed by the artist which I can't decipher exactly. It could be M. G. Martinez or maybe W. G. Martinez. It's possible they were illustrations for a magazine or a book.  They each have a number on the back of the painting.They are really great pieces and I hope someone recognizes the artist or can at least do a better job of deciphering the name than I have been able to.

Thanks for passing on the name. I looked up Goyo Martinez, Barcelona and he is an author. The other Goyo Martinez is a Latina singer. I tried G. Martinez, W.G. - G.W. - M.G. - G.M. - W Martinez - G Martinez - and nothing thus far. I shall continue to investigate and hopefully someone on here may come across the images and have something to add.
