The shape and decoration is very like Gwili Pottery from Wales

IN relation to the spongeware piece, I contacted Yolanda Budd and she confirmed it as her work. " yes after I finished at Haseley Manor pottery I set up a pottery from home and for many years I did the local craft fairs and shows. I'm now living in North Devon and still making pots". Mystery solved!

Hi and many thanks. Just looked at examples on the web and see she worked on the Isle of Wight, at Haseley Pottery for a while. Well, we have family on the IoW and have had over 100 visits there and for a while my Sister ran a small shop selling local crafts including Molly Attril and Hasely Pottery items so it all adds up. I guess it came home with us on one occasion. Furthermore I have a small collection of IoW studio pottery so this a new addition. Thanks again.
