Scandinavian Pot? Empty Scandinavian Pot?

Post by Simon Meade July 27th 2017, 12:16 am

I recently bought a large lidded pot - approximately 40CM high - here in Healesville, Victoria, Australia.
The seller didn't know any of the pot's history so I know nothing about it.
It has a rough finish and, to me the design appears very Scandinavian.
I would love to know more about this piece and would be so pleased if anyone recognises it - or the signature.

Wonderful pot. Unfortunately I'm unable to read the signature. I think European is a long shot; most likely it's Australian, NZ, or possibly South African (there's a thriving English and Irish ex-pat studio pottery community out there). Have you tried asking the Australian Pottery Marks website?
