Maker identity? 19thc China Incised V & F or P Handpainted Dog Cartouches
Can anyone help identify the maker of these cups and saucers please. I was told they are 19th century. Also that they are very rare. The only marks I can see are incised V and an impressed F or P. They are delightful with gold dentil rims and dog heads of various breeds on the cups and the saucers. Each "cartouche" is surrounded by oak? branches. Many thanks. Would you say they are hand painted Clara?
They look good quality, but if so, why no mfr mark?

I've seen that gold rim decoration before on 19thC French and Austrian china

They look hand painted, can't tell on quality from the pictures but they seem ok. What I take to be an X on the base is very similar to a Minton's mark. Minton signed in the late 19th century with a date code as a single letter. Here is a link to the ones to look for.
