Re: Nancy Fuller
Yes, she's based in Aberdeenshire. Bought it via her online shop but it's a pre-order so you have to wait several weeks for her next firing (or the one after if it's all gone pearshaped) .
No it's not marked but she doesn't need to; her work is instantly recognisable.

Like any other small business, cash flow must be a serious concern for most potters.

Re: Nancy Fuller
Nancy is Taiwanese by birth but was raised in Scotland. She originally trained as a printmaker before discovering wood-fired ceramics when she visited Taiwan at the beginning of this century. She began studying there and then underwent a month long residency at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park. While there she was introduced to highly regarded potter, Shigeji Suzuki and later returned to Shigaraki to undergo a year long apprenticeship with him.
A photograph of her taken in Shigaraki in 2007.

Re: Nancy Fuller
Upon her return to the UK, with her Shigaraki pots, she had her first exhibition with me at the Harlequin Gallery in a 2 person show alongside Peter Swanson in May 2008.
Her work is hand-built and this tsubo was the largest work in that exhibition and was sold for a 4 figure sum.
It was made from clay dug from Hata, with Amagatani White Gairome clay and was fired in 2007. It is 48 cm tall.

Re: Nancy Fuller
In autumn 2020, Nancy took part in a mixed exhibition at the prestigious gallery, Hauser & Wirth, at their Bruton, Somerset site. They have other galleries in Zurich, London, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Gstaad, so quite an operation.
