Re: Mary J Boardman, Backwater Pottery - MB or MJB mark
MB or MJB mark. Often attributed to Mary J Boardman, Backwater Pottery, but sometimes difficult to distinguish between Bill Hedge/Mount St Bernard Abbey and Margery Bond (Australia) marks

It’s MJB. We’ve had it several times with the same textured surface. Closest is Mary Boardman, but there’s also Bill Hedge, Mount St Bernard Abbey (before and during Bill Hedge’s stewardship ) and Margery Bond with similar marks

Most examples listed as Mary Boardman are from members of various ID groups who’ve asked for an ID. Some accept that there’s still a question mark over the attribution but others don’t
Edited to say I’m 95% sure it’s by Mary J Boardman

Mary J Boardman seems the closest match. She used an MB and a MJB stamp. Potting from the 80s
