Sake set - I think
Found this lovely set recently - couldn't leave it on the shelf.
Incised marks that look Japanese. Delicately potted, unusual handle-less jug and charming little cups. It is possible the cups and the jug are from different 'sets' as the clay is different

Yes it's a small tea set with probably one cup missing, as a set would usually have 5 cups.
I don't recognise the mark but feel confident that the set was meant to go together. However, the different stoneware body of the teapot and the cups suggests that they were made by separate potters in the same pottery.
