Hannah Barlow, Doulton
Picked this up today instantly thinking Doulton Hannah Barlow.
But when checking the base... no Doulton mark ?? No BHB
HHhmmm so, the sgrafito of sheep looks good the tankards seems right but no marks other than an odd monogram.
maybe backwards C R or JR ?
Any ideas on what the monogram is ? Maybe early doulton mark im not familiar with.
Any ideas or thoughts appreciated.

Re: Hannah Barlow, Doulton
Well it is so Hannah no doubt. This period the mark is a round stamp with a date (1870's). Unmarked Doulton is normally misattributed Baileys Fulham. It could be a trial, a commission item or an item made for an employee.
Of course it could also Baileys. Made by famous Doulton artists George Tinworths roommate Robert Wallice Martin who marked his Fulham pots RW. He was prone to the odd tribute to Doulton. This would be a lucky find if you can match the back stamp.
