Heavy stoneware vase, embossed M or W mark - Mary Rich?
Could this be by Diana Barraclough of Wawcott House pottery? There's only a bowl i can find online so it's hard to tell....

I think it could be Mary Rich. This is what her pots look like under all the gold lines and triangles

The mark looks embossed, rather than impressed.

The examples we have for Wawcott look more like a combined WJ monogram

Looks like it was stamped on a blob of clay, but the shape looks similar to Mary Rich's mark

But not sure the shape of the base is right

Thanks for the info Naomi - I thought i'd seen the mark somewhere before but didn't associate the vase with Mary Rich's work - it seems a little ungainly....hmmm
Yes, I said embossed in the title....then it became impressed in the description.......i was tired

She was at one of the fairs last year - might have been the last Art in Action - with her before and after pots, and I much preferred her before pots; lovely shades of pink and blue washes on the porcelain.
