POSTING BREAKABLES AT XMAS TIME Empty POSTING BREAKABLES AT XMAS TIME

Today I sold a pot on ebay, it just passes as small parcel with normal packing but I hate sending breakables through the post at Xmas time

Any suggestions?

Double box and pay the extra. £3.99 via MyHermes.

Not sure the delay will make a difference.

Any delivery of fragile items in the 10 dayd before Xmas is a gamble. Overwhelmed delivery services take short cuts for quickness, and the risk is just too great for me at least.
Signed off what I wanted to clear out - surplus pieces and potters we are no longer so keen on- by the last week in November. Bought something just before Xmas, and asked for delivery in the New Year.

I've had three parcels with really crap wrapping in recent days, which I guess the contents have survived because of the speed of delivery in the run up to Christmas.
