found a couple made by Ray Finch but they have his personal Winchcombe mark

but seriously, the less experienced saltglazers can end up with brown treacle - like areas and have little to no control over which bits get coated and which bits don't & often get glaze running down the sides

It's sitting next to my miniature Sabine Nemet atm. Definitely going to get more of those at the fairs

Poor saltglaze can be uneven as it's a throw and hope.

A fellow collector has said it looks like her little Winchcombe pots, but salt glazed surfaces tend to look the same

Don't think its is Ray Finch Winchcombe. Surface does not look right. Or for that matter any of the Harrow group.

saltglazing can be far more controlled and varied than throw and hope! I imagine very few potters use dry salt these days.
