Hi Guys any thoughts on this oddity that caught my eye in one of our proliferating charity shops. It has some raised 'enamelling' and I guess its a flower pot. I would guess 1920's but this is based on my limited history of non Chinese stuff. It quite a heavy item and the previous owners has rather luckily stuck some felt underneath.Meanwhile back in China... Sam_7122

I'm afraid it's a modern decorator's piece. The shape is based on the silver Monteith bowls which the Chinese have been copying in porcelain for hundreds of years, and still are.
