Singing chorister figure holding book
Unmarked figure; I think they’re holding a book (not a frog as first thought) . I’m assuming it’s a hobby potter but just checking it’s not by a well known pottery like Briglin or Chelsea

What a lovely piece - like the detail in the jumper and the frog subject - nice find !!

Thanks :) Tbh, at first sight I though it was a Chorister but couldn’t work out why they’d be wearing a rain hat!

It is wacky and I like it.
My memory is not one of my strongest points, but many moons ago I owned a couple of Chelsea figures, barristers if I remember correctly. Your figure reminds me of those.

Re: Singing chorister figure holding book
The only difference that strikes me is that my two (main body black, faces...white) were more darkly glazed than yours, more black, though it may be that your picture has come out lighter.
In terms of style, they were very similar.
Good luck.

Edited to say it’s a chorister holding a book, not a frog. I don’t recognise the outfit. Catholic or Foreign, maybe?

I suppose if it is difficult to tell the difference between a frog and a book the modelling isn't that good?

Re: Singing chorister figure holding book
It's far too heavily potted for Chelsea, as Dan says, Maybe look to scandi.
22 may have said if he thought it could be Briglin.
That costume could be a clue.
