I had considered that it could be Japanese. That thing that looks like an eyelash could be a representation of the rising sun. But if true, then that leads me to try and figure out what the two symbols below it mean..

88? BB? 8B? B8? Eyes? Windows? Something else? In the meantime, I looking at various Japanese pottery marks on a couple of sites.

To my knowledge UCAGCO was just a distributor of japanese dish not really maker.
I don't no if at some point they have did themselves the design or if we owned a factory
