Straight backstamp of an Edge & Malkin CORRELLA pattern plate
Buongiorno,
I have some of these wonderful EM & CO Corrella pattern plates. I noticed that the inscription press in the center of the back of the plate, as shown in the pictures, is straight instead of arched as in all the other plates I've seen. What does this mean? Is it an indication of the place of production?
Thank you for your precious help.

Re: Straight backstamp of an Edge & Malkin CORRELLA pattern plate
Edge Malkin & Co, Burslem Staffordshire, (1871-1903).
The seated dog trade mark was registered in 1873.
Differences in the impressed marks are likely to be
just different production batches.
