Grid Line Impresed Design 28 cm Dish
Hi
No marks or labels and I don't think it's Studio, nor a student piece and quite possibly just High Street.
28 Cm wide, interesting base rim and flashes of green in the glaze on underside.

Studio I would think. Looks a bit too fiddly and time intensive in decoration and glaze terms to be mass market. Nice base. But apart from that, does not ring any bells about any particular potter. Professional looking pieces tho.

Cheers Phil - A lot of China imports with a studio look these days but I fell for the circular nodules. Odd that there's no impressed mark though

Doesn’t strike me as a Chinese import but I’ve not come across anything similar

I knew I'd seen that ochre/brown matt glaze before.

A long shot I know.
It has a bit of a scandanavian look about it though.

I’m doubtful. Owen Thorpe was quite conservative in his designs. I think it’s an ash glaze, thinly applied.

Hey you don't think the makers mark is hidden in the design? Only one is not repeated a dot wheel???

Looks like they’ve used whatever was to hand to make patters in the surface. There was a Swiss studio potter doing similar things in the latter half of the 20thC but I don’t recall his name

The roundels, the bluish glaze, remind me a bit of the sort of work that Wallwork, Rooke, Fournier and others were doing in the Greenwich studios in the 60's. Or maybe something that came out of that.
