Pottery house and mushroom
Hi
Not quite my taste but detail of work caught my eye with these two pieces mushroom and cottage. The base is either GAG or JAG. The phallic chimney stack on the mushroom lean towards perhaps Gag from Portugal but can find cottages by them. Any assistance with these much appreciated.
Thanks Patrick

Re: Pottery house and mushroom
I think it’s a hobby potter or craft kit. The colours dont look like they’ve been fired

Yes I know what you mean but my feel on it was detail and quality go in its favour. Thanks for the input though. Patrick

Think the rule of thumb is normally not to buy anything with gag written on it... (just kidding)

That’s why I think it’s a craft kit. Possibly a polymer resin which sets cold rather than needing to be fired.

Summary?
Nah I cannot bear to be quite so impolite to the poster.
Suffice to say. It is worth nothing.

Errrmmm.
Welll....When I was a kid. Long time ago! We bought these moulds from Boots. Filled them with Plaster of Paris , painted them, and put a varnish on 'em. Then sold them, house to house or in the local market.
Yep indeedy! Right little entreprenuers we were. But then, times were tough way back then. And they sold well!
No accounting for taste.
Anyways.
This reminds me of those days!!!!!!!!!!

Yes remember it well - had to be creative as i think you only got about 3 colours each in a pot the size of a thimble... (i wasnt too creative - hence didnt sell any)
