Small bowl bought in Pasadena, CA - Japanese Empty Small bowl bought in Pasadena, CA - Japanese

Hello!

I am new to the Forum, and I signed up because many years ago I bought a small, orange bowl at a garage sale in Pasadena, California.  The house having the sale was a Greene & Greene house (the elderly woman who owned it had died and her son was selling off all her things).  

I thought the mark at the bottom of the bowl was interesting, and I have tried to research it.  But try as I might, I cannot find any similar mark anywhere.   I am hoping someone on this site can help!!

Hi. I don't know anything about American ceramics/pottery, but if I picked that bowl up here in the UK, I would think it was from Japan.
Just a guess though. Good luck
