Can anyone id this cane handled lidded jug
Hi. Hope someone can help. Found this cane handled lidded jug in the North West of England. It does have an impressed mark at the base, but unfortunately quite indistinct. It looks like either an A interleaved with a W or M, or A and J. These are within a circle. It measures 18 cm tall (without the cane handle) x 12 cm in diameter at the base and weighs almost 950 gm. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

I can almost see the mark but is a bit out of focus and over exposed. It would help if you could post another photo

More Japanese influenced, imo. Nice ash glaze.

It’s going to be from the Dodd/Batterham/Rogers/etc group of potters, but the mark is too obscured to make it out

It is difficult to see and, although the seal is perhaps the wrong shape, I was wonder about Andrew Hague.
