Capodimonte or german?
Hi, I'm new, I'd like to know if anyone knows what brand this piece can be, and how much it could cost, I thought it could be capo de monti, It measures 21cm long, 20cm high, it is not signed it only has the crown at the base, thanks!

we don't offer valuations here but show us some pictures including the base and we will try to identify the maker

Re: Capodimonte or german?
It’s not a Capodimonte mark so we can rule them out. We do need to see the piece itself. My feeling is it’s not German either, which leaves the copyists.

Re: Capodimonte or german?
The mark is similar to a mark used by Hofner & Co. at the Sandizell porcelain factory in the Dresden area from 1951. However, it isn't the same as the marks I have seen but it could be a later figure from there. However, the other option of it being recently made elsewhere is also likely.

Re: Capodimonte or german?
Base photo important. Copies and fakes rarely bother to match the bases of the originals.

Re: Capodimonte or german?
The mark seems to be a copy of the Hoffner crown. I suspect it’s a contemporary copy by one of their competitors rather than a modern fake
