Slipware Jug- Hatched Design. No Marks. Anyone recognise the Potter please?
A recent purchase but I have no idea of the potter. I believe the potter is very skilled. The design looks ancient mimicking a rich fabric with diamond shape trellis. I can see some resemblance, perhaps, to Mary Wondrausch. Around the handle base and its top are some rounded W like marks. Any ideas on the maker please? Thanks in anticipation and kind regards

Don't think its Mary Wondrausch. She was not much one for sizeable jugs.
Too 'worked' for Clive Bowen, and too formalised for Dylan Bowen. Nothing like any Winchcombe potter has produced.
I wonder if it might not be French? The whole decoration and the base does not look particularly British.

Looks like a glazed base which points to a late 19th-early 20thC British piece like Ewenny or Devon, or foreign
