Unusual Alfred Meakin Design

Hi All,

New to the forum but it seems like a great place for information

However, I have been unable to find anything on the internet relating to some Alfred Meakin pottery I own. It seems to lack the usual Alfred Meakin stamp and only has an arrow and stamped '1979' I assume this to be a date? Although it could be a pattern number. Then the pattern itself isn't very similar to much of alfred meakin pottery.

So was just looking for any idea or thoughts about the piece?

That arrow normally means it was made for the War department.

Oh why didn't I think of that Seems like a very good suggestion, I guess the odds of finding a pattern or anything more that that is pretty unlikely?
