Acanthus Crafts, AC mark (not Annette Christophers)
Does anyone recognise the maker of this.
I've tried googling it but can't find any others.
It's 17cm long, 5 cm wide and 8.5cm tall.
I've lifted the felt hoping to find a makers mark - but nothing
It is relatively old, as it has a fair bit of grim on the surface - so not made last week.
Who ever, it is certainly better than my current letter rack and more in keeping with the rest of the room.
Thanks for any info.

Tremaen would have been my guess too, but I've no idea about this sort of thing.
I have seen something on ebay very much like it, with a cat on it, but I can't remember who it was by.

Shelf was my first thought - they have a bit more finesse. Tremaen tends to do chunkier stuff.

Those were both my initial thoughts.
I'm fairly sure it isn't Tremaen, I have a few bits and it just doesn't seem right.
As for Shelf - I'm not really sure either way. I don't think it is quite right for shelf, but I don't have any to compare, so perhaps it is.
There do seem to have been a few potteries doing this 'Tremaen style'. It would seem to be one that used sticky labels rather than a stamp.
I think it's one of those that we will have to wait for someone who's seen (or has) a labeled one to be sure.

Re: Acanthus Crafts, AC mark (not Annette Christophers)
FINALLY
I seem to have an ID for the maker.
There is an identical style letter rack on ebay at the moment, with a windmill by a river land scape.
Made by, Acanthus Pottery, Hand Made in Gt Britain.
I've asked the seller if I can post pic's here. I'll add them if I get the OK.
Anyone every heard of them? I can't find anything on the web.

Yep, hers has a label.
I've seen a poor quality pic. You can just about make out Acanthus Pottery, Hand Made. But I can't copy this pic from my ebay mail for some reason.
An identical image letter rack (Wind Mill), but very slightly different (as hand made) was also on ebay in June 2013.

Re: Acanthus Crafts, AC mark (not Annette Christophers)
There's one on ebay at the moment, attributed to Annette Christophers of Albrighton, Wolverhampton, England. 1970s.
Edited: A number of stoneware pots online with applied decoration and AC mark have been attributed to Annette Christophers but I think they may be by Acanthus Crafts. It's not the same as her AC mark in BSMP

You've got super human powers, thank you again. I must remember to look on Ebay rather than google and pinterest, I always forget.
Re: Acanthus Crafts, AC mark (not Annette Christophers)
Most of my pinterest board marks are off ebay. Just added that one. :)
(Can't always guarantee they're right, though).

This is definitely by Acanthus Crafts Pottery. Don’t know why our mark was not put on. For your info I ran the pottery in Aylsham for 21 years. I always said that things would appear in second hand markets!
